Service Battery - user replaceable?

Preparing to leave a mall, intending to arrive at the car in 10 minutes, one might ask the car to turn on the Air/Heat, presumably without requiring the car to be attached to "shore" power.

Will the car be smart enough to tell you things like, "If you take more than 20 minutes to get here, you might not make it home."?

I'm hoping that Nissan won't remove that capability, just for that reason.

That would be a shame. Pre-heating/cooling is a great word-of-mouth selling feature, when people see that not only is an EV viable, but can be even more convenient and comfortable than their "normal" car!

I agree 100%.
It should include the new features that are difficult for an ICE to do, ... like "silent" opeation.
