I would not put $6500 down. If the car gets totalled, you will lose it all.

Do you need 15,000 miles a year?

FYI, folks have gotten 0 down $199 a month for 24 months at 12K miles a year.

Am not in your vicinity (actually, other end ), but I got a lease deal $400 down, $150 per month (translates to 0 down, $160 month), 24 months, 12K mi on 2012 SL, no tax in my state. If the dealer is motivated, and given that 2013s may show up in 2-3 months, push 'em hard.

Nearly $300 a month after your large down payment doesn't seem like a good deal at all. Check the other lease thread to see some of the better deals out there.

Also as quoted above, the big risk is if the car is totalled you walk away with nothing (And owe nothing), so you would loose the down payment.
