Has anyone ran Android on Windows Netbook to use Battery App

I have a netbook that I use for automotive diagnostics and thought of giving it a shot....

I've run Android x86 in a VMWare VM on a standard laptop and used Bluetooth peripherals. Not the ELM327, but a different serial adapter for another purpose. It was handy for debugging an app I was working on. You might get it to work on the netbook with enough head banging, but it doesn't seem worth the effort when some of the phones are so cheap.

I already have Vware on the netbook for something else but I agree it is slow and a hassle to run.

I answered my own question and found an old android phone a friend has.
