I just saw the news about Washington and Oregon states installing more L3 CHAdeMO charging stations. http://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...y-to-country/2011/08/18/gIQAvPDEOJ_story.html

In the meanwhile, the state California can't seem to be able to "walk the walk". http://www.greencarreports.com/news...fast-charging-for-electric-cars-if-its-closed

UL listed CHAdeMO exist. http://akerwade.indigofiles.com/AkerWade_EVFC_Specsheet.pdf.

A couple of months ago I wrote a letter to my local California representative (Fionna Ma) to tell her about the disconnect between the speaches about green tech and millions of EVs on the roads by 2020 and the reality. Got no answer.

Every LEAF owner should write to their California representative about this. If Oregon and Washington state are doing it, why not California?

Nice looking DC Fast Charge refueling station on the linked brochure above...Not very realistic, though...

It would cost a ton of money to build and operate what's in that artist's rendering (8 DC Fast Charge Units and the electrical infrastructure for simultaneous charging)? They would have to charge a ton of money to break even...No mini-mart is going to generate that much revenue...

California is dead a** broke?.. they may actually have to start laying off public servants, thats how bad it is.

Democrats are almost assured to get a full two thirds majority in the State Legislature next year so CA will be going much deeper blue. Last time that happened was 1978. It will be much easier to get the budget balanced when EVERYONE is correctly paying their fair share. By comparison, the great red state of Texas is busy drinking their own pee.

The lag in L3 is definitely getting creepy. To find the source of the problem all I think we would have to do is get one open... and then see who steps forward to oppose it. Nothing like yanking these folks out of the shadows.
