Canada 2011 LEAF Reservations open

Just thought I would post this if anyone lurks here from Canada.

Canadian system opened today for about 10-ish seconds to fill the alottment for this year (40 LEAFs). Expected ETA on these 40 is mid/late October.

Everyone who didnt happen to be right online at that moment goes into the not unfamilar queue to duke it out for the 600-odd Canadian 2012 MY LEAFs.

Nissan Canada announced that it took 2 hours to sell all 40 LEAFs...
I guess that 10 minutes loading time per page would be to blame here...
Luckily, got one reserved myself.

Yeah, it didn't go well.

I churned through the system in about 5 mins and got a very low transaction number, but it really started to bog down only moments afterwards.

It might have taken 2 hours to complete the 40 sales, but only because of the chaos trying to load the website. I'm sure anyone who didn't start the process within a couple of minutes of the opening was out of luck.
