Hi,
I have a 2013 SL and so far am very happy with it. I currently charge it using the standard supplied evse from a standard 120 volt/15 amp wall outlet. My friend now has a 2013 S and he apparently had an electrician install a 220 volt circuit at 15 amps and says he can plug his standard EVSE into it to charge at a rate of 3.3kw/hr. I would like to do this but looking at the EVSE supplied with my car it clearly states that its input is 120 volts. Is there something different about the EVSE supplied with the S model such that it can plug into 120 or 240?)? I would rather not invest the money for the full EVSE upgrade so if I can use the standard EVSE on a 220 volt circuit I would be very happy as that is a smaller investment. thanks in advance.
