I got an “ebrake failure “ message. The ebrake failed and went back to my having to use my conventional brake. After turning off my car and starting it up again it worked fine. This has happened 5 times in 2 months going down my hill from home.
I took it in (10,300 miles on the car) and my brake lining was down to 4 and brake fluid low. They said it was because I use my ebrake to much?!!!
Has anyone else had this issue?

By "ebrake" are you talking about "ePedal" or the electrically activated parking brake? I can see a possible way that ePedal could do this: if you start with a full battery charge, then the regenerative braking that usually does most of the work of braking in ePedal mode would not be available - there would be no place to "put" the electrons generated - and the car would be forced to use the friction brakes. If you are starting with a full charge, try starting with less - say 90%.
