In that test they were being driven by different drivers, BUT they were all following each other, so you would expect similar driving dynamics.

I know my brother's wife has a model 3 and due to the lack of heat pump, it gets far worse efficiency than my leaf at times during the winter.
They drove to the airport one time with heat and defrost and got something like 2 miles per kWh. I remember my father commenting that his Prius at that moment would have been cheaper to drive. The Hyundai, KIA, and Leaf have heat pumps, or optional heat pumps anyway.
