Just got off the phone with EV support. Nice guy. He confirmed that this is a problem they've seen and that there is a TSB out for it that was apparently just released today for a software update which fixes the problem. I didn't make it to the dealer today but hope to get there tomorrow.

Leased. The lease payment was less than what we were paying on a monthly basis for gas. IMO, EV tech is still evolving quickly so I think it's smart to go with something short-term and then re-assess when the term is up in 2015.
