    100 Mile Club, 200 km, 300 km, 200 Mile Club (24kWh LEAF)

Mr. Williams: This is my first post outside the "newbie" board, having taken my 2012 near-virgin Leaf off the truck with only 4052 miles back in November. It's a lease swap orphan, lovingly cared for by a frequently absent lessee from Santa Barbara who just spent too much time out of the...

Job change: Should we trade-in for more range mid-lease?

Cahill: as you point out, lease transfer is possible (see my response in this thread http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14857" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ). I agree it's time consuming (took almost 6 weeks AFTER I had contacted the guy and started the process, and...

New Leaf Owner in West Michigan

K: Looks like you are also ignoring naysayers on cold-weather use of the Leaf. My 2012's first weekend of winter play has done fine. 38 miles total should be no problem, although if you see below zero degF for the workday, having access to an L1 would probably be useful insurance.

Welcoming my new (to me) Leaf to chilly Midwest

Remember me? I posted here way back on October 30th... at the time I had initiated the lease transfer process with Nissan. It did indeed turn out to be as slow as NMAC had promised. Despite a really nice and helpful lessee at the other end, we weren't able to officially say "we're done" until...

    New guy says thanks

TimLee and LTLFT: It's true: although I "agree to assume all right, interest, and obligations of the Transferor [the guy giving up the lease] as detailed in the above-described Lease, and to honor the requirements set forth in said lease", right underneath that is the following clause...

    New guy says thanks

kikbuti: I agree, you can, but I chose this one instead because... (a) every new under-$300/mo deal I found also required a fairly substantial (>$2500) down payment, and (b) I didn't want a car from the first-year run of Smyrna. It's not that I think Tennessee folks can't build cars. But this...

    New guy says thanks

Re: lease swapping... (I've also received a couple of messages on this topic; hope this answer addresses everyone's needs) Ultimately I used SwapALease, primarily because they had a decent selection and not just a bunch of overpriced dealer ads. It's important to note that none of these sites...

    New guy says thanks

Thanks to this forum, I'm becoming a Leaf Pilot. I've been in the aircraft systems business -- more specifically, aircraft electric power -- for a number of years, with a brief detour into nuclear and petrochemical/chemical refining. (Consequently the Forum gets yet another self-professed...
