Well... it was a good meeting with good food and conversation. I was concerned as Leafer and I drove up to my car with the with the charging plug on the ground the port door and socket cover gaping open seemingly saying "feed me". We turned on the car and my worst fears were realized. 24...
The 16th looks good for me either Elk Grove or Sacramento. My preference would be Sac as I definitely will need a charge to get home and Elk grove is about 10 miles further for me. Loved the photos of the last gathering in Sac. Sorry I missed it.
Thought I had shaken off this bug, but I was wrong. So, in the interest of not infecting all of you, I will not be attending after all. Have a good meeting.
I'm going to need to charge as well to get back up the hill to grass Valley. Plan is to charge at the dealer after meet while I bike the American River bike Path.

Building on Waidy's analysis, that $36 would buy a half a tank of gas for an ICE. At around 25mpg that car could drive close to 200 miles for $36 compared to around 80 miles for a leaf. Quite a premium to pay for responsibly going electric.
The email I got said that fees will start Spring 2012. Seems a bit high and does not differentiate on 3.3 or 6.6 Kw charging, but, for emergencies, I'll get plus for the first year. Now if there were any actual chargers in the Sacramento area it would be great. Ikea in West Sac is on the list...
I drove my LEAF down from Grass Valley for the 2:30 show on Saturday. Parked in the Downtown Plaza garage 3rd and L using my free permit. Four charging stations on the east end of the ground floor, three of them J1772. One was in use by a blue LEAF. The movie was poorly attended, less than a...
