24kWh LEAF ONLY !!!! See the other thread for the new 30kWh LEAF.
Post your experiences with joining the 100 miles Club and 200 km Club; that is, driving 100 miles or even better, 200 km (124.3 miles) or more, without a charge. This is not estimated, or thought you could, or maybe you got close.... your car actually powered the wheels for 100 miles or more without a charge. Metric folks, it's the 160.93 km club and/or 200km. New requirement; your trip must start and end at the same elevation, or end at a higher elevation.

The GuessOmeter (dash readout of range) has nothing to do with this. Please don't even reference what that meter says. Only actual odometer reading. No CarWings data, either; even the latest firmware update has the mileage data 2.5% off
Here's how many people have reported going 100 miles that Nissan says the car can go, or even better, the 200 km that Nissan says the car is rated for in Japan:
*******************************
All time record holder, LEAFfan, drove his new 2013 LEAF for 188 miles on one charge on May 27, 2013 with economy of 8.8mile per kWh, relatively flat terrain, little wind, 75F to start in sunny Phoenix
LEAFfan's previous record from May 5, 2012 with a 2011 LEAF - (151 miles / 243 km), 8.5 miles/kWh center console (8.4 dash since it only goes to 8.0 on the readout) on ONE CHARGE. He could have done 170 miles if he had started with full capacity, instead of a calculated 17.976kWh (151 / 8.4 = 17.976).
2nd place: "TNleaf": Feb 7, 2012 - TNleaf with 135.4 miles (217.905 km). I forecast that he could have driven 146 miles, at 6.6 miles/kWh, for 22kWh usable battery.
******************************************************************
Lowest range contender, "nader": 0.8 miles per kWh over 6 miles; estimated range, 0.8 x 21 = 16.8 miles !!!

****This run by Nick was done in Oct 2010, months before the first LEAF delivery. Because he drove 116 miles at 5.1 miles/kWh, that means there was 22.7kWh in the battery to use.
What was the ambient air temperature during this run ? We don't know, but considering when and where it was done, I don't think it was over 100F/40C. Because it was driven by a pre-production car, I suspect that the cell voltages were at 4.2v per cell, and not the 4.1v of the production car.
There are references in some of the documents to a 403v battery (96 cell pairs * 4.2v), but the current production car has about 21kWh available at 70F/20C temperature, and has 393.5v with 4.1v per cell. That capacity decreases about 1% per 4F/2C temperature decrease below 70F/20C.
Nick's calculated battery capacity of 22.7kWh (8% above 21kWh) is significantly above that standard, and could be explained either by higher cell voltage, or extreme battery temperature of over 100F/40C.
