My wife says that the seat belt warning chime is not sounding when the seat belts are not used. I took it in to the dealer service department for repair. The service rep said that there is no seat belt warning chime in a Leaf. Is that true? Can anyone confirm that there is no warning chime in a Nissan Leaf.
 
Correct. For the passenger seat, the only warning you get is a cryptic red triangle in the instrument cluster, and you're left to figure out what the car is complaining about from there.

I think there might be a single ding for the driver's seat, but couldn't swear to it without purposely leaving my belt off when I next drive.
