Do I Need To Unplug Unit from Outlet after Charging LEAF?

Every morning when I leave for work, I unplug from the LEAF, and unplug the charging unit from the wall outlet. Is it really necessary to unplug from the wall as well? I am afraid by doing this each morning, I am somehow wearing out the outlet on the wall. Is there any issue with extra energy loss if I keep it plugged in?
