EVI DS-50 Upgrade to J1772 Connector

EVI DS-50 Upgrade to J1772 Connector:

Apparently this old Avcon EVSE is already J1772 compatible
in its control protocol, so it just needs a new J1772 cable.

I noticed he didn't bother to reintegrate the connectors that were intended to allow the J1772 cable to break cleanly away in case of a drive off or roll away. The original photo shows the blue pilot wire having the least slack, so it would break first killing the current draw, and the ground with the most.

Also, it's possible to simply retrofit the handle, reusing the original cable as shown on these pages, although if soldering isn't a solid skill, the other procedure might be better:

If one had the Anderson connectors and crimp tool, then
preparing the new J1772 cable with the matching connectors
would make the whole conversion really quick.

In the pictures, it appears that the new cable has heavier
gauge wires, but using the short stubs should not be
much of a problem., I suspect.

I have an ICS-200 EVI charger with the avcon plug on it. If anybody wants it, let me know. I'd like $100 for it.

Is this the metal exterior original version, or the "B" version with the plastic exterior?

Metal housing. I also have the FICS adaptor to reprogram the software via serial port.

Would be interested in just the adapter. I also have an EVI...

I see an Evi DS 200 available online. And it comes with the j1772 cable and plug also. Is the j1772 upgrade MERELY attaching the appropriate leads to the proper terminals, OR, is there some other board-level mods to do?
