Hoping the electrical gurus can answer this question:

There's a single green (3 prong) extension cord from a 110V line at work where two Leafs park. Can I put a power strip on it and plug two Leafs into the power strip?

Will this simultaneous charging hurt the Leafs or the electric power (trip a breaker or something)?

Thanks,

B

If you both have the latest evse upgrade you can turn the power down to 6 amps each and charge away.
It had better be a cord with #12 wire BTW. #10 even better. And that goes for charging single or double.
Better to just take turns where one gets morning and the other gets the afternoon.

If it is a 20 amp outlet... The Voltec level-1 chargers from the 2011/2012 Volts have a button to turn them down to 8 amps. So that would only be 16 amps for both of them. So it could be done, but I doubt two people would go new EVSEs to make that happen.
