The points don't really separate the EV debate and appeal more to those "in the loop" over the general population which may be confused on many points. I have to agree, not so good.

Wow, I think they really missed the mark on these videos too. Part of the message should be that EVs are cheaper, easier to maintain, but they're still like any other car you can drive today.

Unfortunately the whole "Mac vs. PC" commercial parodies have been way overdone... I guess it was cheap to do. I thought the Cell Phone PSA was better than Ocean Crude, but it still just only pushes the "environmentalism" agenda. Show people how to be more efficient and how it will save them time and money...

Yeah - I'm sorry... but those ads really really stink.

It only is "funny" to us EV people. It won't convert anyone. The gasoline powered phone was humorous... but doesn't really make anyone want to have an electric car.

Both videos are silly, and I didn't get either one.
Both make EV drivers look like a bunch of greeny idiots. :roll:

I personally liked the pluginamerica ads, especially the cell phone one.

and the message wasn't only about the environment (in my mind), it was about "if electricity is so natural in the device we now rely on the most, and gas is so absurd for it, why do we still believe that it's so natural for our cars, and electricity is so absurd there".
