On my '11 "80%" charge, SOC is always 79.9X%. "100%" charge is usually around 95% SOC, but I've seen it as low as 89% on occasion.

see post below for more numbers

at the end of 75.1% charge leafspy says:

SOC = 75.1
13.8 kWh
178 GIDs

AHr= 54.19
SOH= 82%
385.72V
Hx 66.81%
odo = 38,813
3 QCs
2248 L1/L2s
max cell spread of 14mv
battery temps 81.4 to 84.0

very next night charged to 80% leafspy says

SOC = 80.0
14.7 kWh
190 GIDs

AHr= 54.19
SOH= 82%
387.24V
Hx 66.82%
odo = 38,813
3 QCs
2251 L1/L2s
max cell spread of 20mv
battery temps 83.5 to 86.6

and fwiw my 12v battery is hanging around 12.32v right now.

First off my 2012 SL charges to "full" when leafspy says the SOC is 91.9% to 92.x% but that is always below 93%.

I accidentally charged to 75.1% and see the numbers below

* 75% https://www.nissanusa.com/owners/vehicles" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; says the state of charge is 75%

* 75.1% leafspy says 75.1%

- leaf manager gives a range (70.8% to 77.9%)

- the target for stopping charging was 80% but nothing I check says that.

* 82% openwings says 82%

- Nissan Leaf android app says miles range or time to full charge (no % there)

I know the 2013 and newer has a dash SOC %, I don't know how far dash SOC diverges from leafspy SOC. I do know that leafspy SOC is linear and all the others are "lying" at the top end and bottom end of the scale.

For now I'm going to say "charging to 80%" is really charging to 80% of max which in my case is 75%.

OK, I accidentally had a timer conflict that stopped the charge early last night. I did it again tonight to 80% per timer and the results are:

- 75% https://www.nissanusa.com/owners/vehicles" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; says the state of charge is 75% (under reports, jumps by large percentages)

- leaf manager gives a range (70.8% to 77.9%), (under reports, jumps by large percentages)

* 80% leafspy says 80% accurate

- 82% openwings says 82% (over reports, jumps by large percentages)

- Nissan Leaf android app says miles range or time to full charge or number of bars (no % there)

So no method available to me sitting at my desk at work shows me the true state of charge. I have to walk down to the car and plug in the ODBII tool to use leafspy if I want accuracy.

and today I charged to 100%, I'll compare with 80% on left 100% on right with comments in ().

SOC = 80.0 vs 92.5 (the lower number is 86.5% of the higher)
kWh 14.7 vs 16.8 (the lower number is 87.5% of the higher)
GIDs 190 vs 224 (the lower number is 84.8% of the higher)

AHr= 54.19 vs 54.17
SOH= 82% vs 82%
387.24V vs 394.01V
Hx 66.82% vs 66.77%

So the so called 80% charge seems to be more like a 85% charge on my degraded battery.
