Next Gathering this coming Saturday in Santa Ana.
Expect a variety of different EVs in the parking lot,
at least 2 Tesla S, etc. I should be there, bringing 2 other
EVers, at just about 8:00 AM.

And a new loaded BMW i3! Test drives offered.

Our EV Gathering at the HTB on 17th Street (2 blocks east of I-5)
in Santa Ana... starts in just 2 days, 2 hours, and 2 (or 3) minutes.

Boomer, I guess this BMW i3 news means that I will not be
picking you up this coming Saturday. Is this a test drive day
for a loaner i3, or does this now replace your 2013 black LEAF?

We should have at least 3 Teslas, and perhaps even some LEAFs.
I should be there at Hometown Buffet when the doors open at 8 AM.

CU2, Gary

Yes, a new leased BMW i3 Range Extender Tera World in Stormtrooper White.

My 2013 Black Leaf SL is sharing garage space and our AV EVSE with the BMW until the LEAF goes home to Nissan in June. Already starting to miss her before she's gone. Great car.

Eleven bodies, with 4 Teslas, 2 Rav4EVs, 2 LEAFs, and 1 brand new BMW i3.

We arrived almost 10 minutes early, and Phil's new BMW i3rx arrived shortly
after, and it received substantial inspections before we finally went in to eat.

Tesla just opened their CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) site, showing a variety of
Model S vehicles, including a 2013 S85 for $62k.

SCE apparently changed their super off-peak hours, to start 2 hours earlier,
at 10 PM instead of 12 midnight.

I am going to see the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley tomorrow,
along with the OC Tesla Group.
Cheers, all

Next Gathering is in Cerritos on May 9th, one week and 21 minutes from now.

The work on the San Diego Supercharger is progressing visibly:
http://www.teslamotorsclub.com/showthread.php/39447-Supercharger-San-Diego-Pacific-Heights-%28not-open-yet%29/page21" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
With likely opening by mid month.

We might have an away-Gathering on Opening Day, so link up with
some Tesla owner that you happen across, ask for a ride with them
to the San Diego SC Opening Day, and invite them to join us at HTB.

The OC Tesla Group trip to the Reagan Presidential Library was great,
about 100 miles each way. About 7 Teslas ... and about 7 Deloreans.

See you at Hometown Buffet on South Street, 2 blocks East of 605
(the first exit south of the 91 and 605 interchange), about 8 AM.

Our next EV Gathering is this coming Saturday, May 9th,
in Cerritos at the Hometown Buffet on South Street,
located 2 blocks East of 605. Opens at 8 AM.

Boomer plans to drive his new BMW i3 to the Gathering.

The Tesla Supercharger in north San Diego is nearing
completion, with all 12 charging arches in place, but
now waiting for SDG&E power and transformer.

Cheers all, I plan to ride with Boomer to experience the i3.

I see that I was tardy in changing the thread's title - done.

Yes, we will be Gathering in Cerritos at the Hometown Buffet just north
of South Street, 2 blocks East of 605. Expect at least 2 Teslas, one
BMW i3 (only from 8 to 9:30), some Rav4EVs, probably a Coda, and
a number of LEAFs. Breakfast starts at 8 AM.

I am planning on being there just after 8 AM, in 2 hours and 15 minutes.
CU Soon, Gary

Tony, thanks for the BMW event place and time.
Phil, with his new i3, went to the event after eating with us in Cerritos.

We had about 13 bodies, arriving in LEAFs, Teslas, and
at least one each of the BMW i3, Rav4EV, Prius, and Coda.

Next LEAF & EV Gathering is in Santa Ana on the 23rd of May.

Edit to Gather on June 27th instead of the 20th.

I propose June 6th and 27th for Gatherings next month,
avoiding the 20th because the 21st is Father's Day.

We could do the 20th instead of the 27th if people prefer that,
since the 27th gets into the start of Summer Vacation for most kids.

Suggestions?

Just ordered Tesla Model S-70D, so I'll want to show that off at the end of June / early July.

Hopefully, I will pick it up from the factory.
Interesting... despite all your experiences w/the lack of reliability of Tesla bits. It'll be interesting to see how many drive unit replacements it requires, given that there are now front and rear drive units. And, it'll be interesting to see if some of the other common/semi-common Model S problems continue to crop up.

Every time I see a thread on TMC about some broken tesla bits, their service response is soo top notch that the customer almost forgets anything was broken in the first place. Seamless handling of loaner vehicles, picking up and dropping off of the repaired vehicle anytime/anywhere... It's an order of magnitude better than dealing with a Toyota dealer, I'm sure.
