I have two leafs. My wife’s is a 2021 Nissan leaf sv and mine is a 2019 S.

I just replaced the lights on my 2919 with LED lights.
But as you can see the lights on my wife’s 2021 are different in that there is a strip that lights up around the lights.

I noticed in my 2019 I also have this strip but it doesn’t light up.

On this link you can see an example of what I mean.

I looked at the 2019 headlight and it indeed does have that strip. But it doesn’t light up.

Is it possible to get that to light up in some way that may be missing on my leaf 2019 because it’s an S. Is there an aftermarket version

As far as I know, the S trim headlight does not have the LEDs behind that part. You would have to retrofit the same LED headlights as are on your wife's car to get that. I haven't seen anyone do that as the headlights tend to be super expensive.

Makes sense. I just wasn’t sure if that was something I could install or enable. But if the light has LED’s in it then that makes sense.

I think there is LED strip kits I can get.

I imagine it's a sealed enclosure, so opening it up is not for the feint of heart, if you know what I mean.
