About two weeks ago, I traded in my Jaguar X type for the leaf, somewhat on a whim. But I have been loving it ever since. So far I have been able to charge at work using the 110V charger and I installed a 220V at home. I'm working on getting actual charging stations installed at work. Considering I work at a power plant, you would think it would be easy. But the red tape and corporate approvals required slows things down.

Ahh, the poor unloved Jaguar X-type (Ford Mondeo clone with a Jaguar badge); still love all Jag's but you'll find your new LEAF won't need 10% of the maintenance and upkeep of just about anything powered by gas. You don't have to mention the utility but would think that they would promote EV use as it uses their output ... some utilities are more concerned over more stress on the power grid but that simply hasn't happened yet. Hopefully they'll put a charger in for you as well as any other employees to promote EV's and you'll be able to share that here ...

I finally broke down and just parted with my 2002 Trooper with 67K miles :-(

It went for cheap (20% of its original value - probably more than the LEAF 10 years from now...) to a friend of mine who's now "beaching" it in Florida, so at least I'll keep an eye on it :)

We traded in my wife's 2008 Mazda5. She got my 2010 Prius and I'm commuting in the 2013 Leaf SV.

Before to after projected average total yearly household reduction in co2 emissions: 1.95 US Tons.
Before to after projected average total household yearly fuel savings: $694.00

:D

Replaced a 93 Jeep Wrangler with 205K miles.

Switching to PGE E9 schedule will actually lower the utility bill.

The gas + utility bill savings basically pays for the Leaf.

I just replaced my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder with a base Leaf S. Loving the fact that gas stations just became irrelevant.

1991 Ford Escort wagon on which I put 143,000 miles then donated to my daughter who proceeded to trade for a whupped Honda Accord that spent most of its time beng repaired (odd for an Accord but this one was a lemon and very "unloved".) When Nissan announced the price drop I visited the dealer in March and ended up signing a lease on a 2013 SV, and after 1-1/2 months of Leaf ownership am realizing a net fuel savings of $360/month. Will probably never buy another ICE vehicle.

My car = family car = Subaru forester '07 -> husband
His car = Subaru Impreza '02 nearing 200K -> for sale

Anticipated carbon savings 10,000 lbs/ year and saving $200 or more in gas each month. Love it!

My 2012 Leaf SL replaced a Honda Civic Hybrid. I had it for 6.5 years and never had a bit of trouble with it. Almost wish I hadn't traded it but kept it as a second car. I LOVE MY LEAF!!
