Legality on plugging in in a non EV designated plug. What's the law?

If you are is CA. most schools will work with you to add charging stations . it is good for large Co to have EV charging...ask I am sure they will work with you.

When I was working for a local City I was driving a Leaf. I asked my boss if I could charge with my supplied EVSE. I guess he passed on my email since several weeks later I got permission from the office of conservation. It was free but they requires a TED energy monitor so they could document the green points. Asking permission worked for me. Since the City purchased the TED everything worked out,

Sometimes it pays to get permission. With it no one can say anything. I got several snide comments about the City subsidizing my car but they could not do anything.
