Is this a good lease deal?

I am looking to lease a 2012 Leaf and I have a dealer quoting these terms:
A 24-month lease with a residual of 57% and a money factor of .00003 with your trade of $1500 hundred and you putting $2500 down your monthly payment would be $194.50.
The residual value is $21,813.90.

The dealer said they could get a better deal on a 24 month lease right now - not sure if that makes sense or not. Seems like a pretty decent deal to me, but just want to make sure since I've never leased before.

Thanks for any thoughts!
Dave

Looks good and go into this link and see last few pages for recent leases and compare against yours.
Let us know the outdo,e and good luck.

We just leased one 2 days ago. You can get a better deal if you go to 36 or 39 months. Our residual was 47% and $17600. That is with $1999 down and $186 a month, 39 mo, and 15K miles a year. Just a couple of things to consider.

payments of $194 and $4000 down on 24 month lease makes weighted down of 4000/24 = $166 + 194 or $361.

not a bad deal at all. cheaper than mine and yours has the CWP

This looks awful to me. I just did a 24 month lease for a total of $5750 over the life of the lease.

If you back out $1500 in trade in, you're left with $4250 to spread over 24 months... which would be $2500 down and then (4250 - 2500) / 23 --> just over $75/month! ;-)

The lease incentives have changed since I got mine, but no matter what I think you're WAY too high here.

yours would be $239 a month? wow! that is almost half the cost of mine

Check out the thread http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1067" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and look at the last few pages for details of a couple leases including mine. $0 down and $213 per month for 24 months.

$139/mth for 24 months from Boardwalk. It sounds like that includes Boardwalk taking the $7500 Fed credit, but does not account for the $2500 California credit?

The article says
She confirmed the deal, and explained that in addition to the $2,995 down payment, the "drive-off fees" (including paperwork, registration, and the first month's payment) amounted to $1,200.
Those sound like high drive off fees!

If I understand correctly - total for lease then is $139*24 + $2995 + $1200 - $2500 = $5031 for two years, or actually $210/mth if paid in 24 equal payments?

that would be because there is none. do a search here. 2 year leases do not qualify for that state credit

Yeah, no $2,500 on less than 36 month lease; and there are only 23 payments, the first is included in the $1,200. And if Lease is 36+, then the $2,500 comes to the lesee (not the finance company) in a few weeks after applying for it. The residual is high, this helps in lowering the monthly payment. (But sales tax is not included in the $139.)

I've never leased a car before and I'm hesitant to buy a Leaf right now, but I saw the below lease deal today and it sounds pretty good to me and was wondering what you guys thought-

It's at Lou Fusz Nissan in St. Louis MO- the terms state:
"Lease for $79/month- 24 month lease, 12,000 miles per year, $2495 cap cost reduction, taxes, title and dealer fees extra. total cost of lease $4391 includes Nissan rebates, incentives and college grad. Offer expires 11/12/12."
If the total cost for 2 years is only $4391, it sounds good to me, but I'm not sure what the "cap cost reduction" means and if the "dealer fees" could be some outrageous amount.

Thanks

OMG ! This is unbelievable.

They are literally giving it away. The total cost is close to 1/4th of what I signed for my 24 month lease, just 9 months ago.

Sounds like a gimmick, would be interested to hear if that deal is real. The "college grad" part is suspect... "Oh this is only for NEW college grads... what's that, you say you are a new college grad? Oh I'm sorry, it only applies to new college grads with 800 fico scores. And unicorns."

Picked a Blue SL up yesterday. 24 month 12k per year. $199 per month. $2699 drive off.

Seems like a great value! I estimate I'll save about $100 per month in gas (that's factoring in my additional electricity expenses I'm still saving that much net). So about $100 out of pocket per month for a brand new vehicle!

That recent college grad, one seems like a way better deal. If that's legit it seems totally worth it.

It is legit, but you do need to be a recent college grad. If I recall when I was shopping around, the college grad discount is $600, so you would have to add that back in.

Bommarito is advertising the $4500 lease deal again for the SV. $2700 down and $75 per month. When I leased there in October I had a similar deal but I went with $0 down. My payment with taxes/title/etc is $213 per month. If you're still shopping around, give Dustin a call.

My friend just leased a Leaf for 0 down and $199 month at Tacoma (WA) Nissan. The salesman said others could get the same deal but his manager pulled the deal so I had to pay $800 down, then $199/mo. on a 24 mo. 12,000 mile deal. Of course, I wasn't told what the cost of a 220v charger at home would be (anywhere from $334 to $1289 plus electrician install/hookup costs if any). I've opted to charge at the only 440v station in Olympia (where I live) or use the 120v when at home since it came with the car (I know the manual doesn't recommend 'regular use' of this but I thought I'd try it out today just to see if it's full in the morning.

mANY folks on the forum have used the 120 V charger for more than 3 months without any issues.

I just leased from Rosen Nissan Gurnee IL a 2012 Leaf SL w $3000 down (all in no extras), $199/month, 24 month, 12k miles/month. Total monthly cost is $324/month if you amortize the down payment.
