Interesting, my Recargo ap shows the chargers in both those locations. :?:

[edit] I was favoring Plug Share some time ago until they started listing all the L1 locations with the same color Icon as the L2,s. Look at the Olympia area - it's hard to know which chargers are L2 at a glance. I emailed them about this months ago and they responded that it was an interesting idea but that was it. However, I see they have a different color icon the the "proposed" L3 chargers.

Yes, if my plans hold I will certainly post the fairgrounds charge point info.

Hard to say which app is the best. I rather like PlugShare and I note that Recargo does not show the fire station at Duvall nor the six ChargePoint units at the University Place (Tacoma area) librarty. Seems that no one app has them all.
Well, I don't knowif it was a senior moment or a brain flatulation, but correct you are. University place and Duvall are indeed on the Recargo app.

When will Silverdale get an L2 charger? Certainly should be one of the most friendly electric car towns on the Kitsap Peninsula do to it.s restaurants and shopping.

No worries. I had to confirm it myself cuz I couldn't be sure If I was remembering correctly.

i would be surprised to hear they had not received at least one yet. you did hear that Poulsbo is getting a QC?

I would be surprised if the peninsula didn't plan for L3 charging somewhere in the 50-60 mile range from any of the ferry terminals. I think EV folks want the ability to get to PT, Sequim, and PA (I'm one). Pousbo is too close for Seattleites and Southsounders probably want to drive around rather than mess with the traffic and ferry fees of the big city. So Silverdale might be a good location for you :?: :?: :?:

PlugShare only shows future L3s in Bellingham & Monroe for the entire state. I understand the Monroe location (Steven's Pass) but us Puget Sounders can't get to Bellingham on a 100% charge even in warn dry weather. Seems to me a better location would be Marysville/Arlington (the latter is also a stretch at freeway speeds).

In general, WA seems way behind OR in it's charging infrastructure. L3 in general is off-the-charts behind. :x

There is also supposed to be a L3 in Burlington by AV and Everett by EV.

Now that a lot of us have Leafs, time to change the title. Especially considering the heavy snowstorm we are having ;)

I guess I wasn't surprised!

This is shortsightedness on the part of the EV project. I don't think they realize how many Washingtonians and visitors travel to the peninsula from Puget Sound. A lost opportunity on their part.

If I understand this, Yeah, my Leaf is behind a garage door with 3 feet of snow in front of it!! It was the only place to put the snow to get my 4WD out. :D

LOL!! very very appropriate title i would think.

Wow, the last few days have been a real bummer! My power has been out so I have been keeping my EV driving to a minimum. In fact I've been keeping ALL driving to a minimum because I couldn't fuel my Prius either!!

How did everyone else cope?

I could have used the Leaf as a really big battery by using with a power inverter. But generator worked well. I really did not want to have the Leaf out to get banged up by all of the trees and branches that were everywhere. My trusty paid for Honda Pilot worked flawlessly. The only gas was at the Red Wind Casino in Yelm which had generator power.

I don't yet have winter tyres for the Leaf, so I had to drive the Starlet
twice. It does very well in the snow, but I expect the Leaf will be awesome
with the right tyres.

A secondary reason was that I'd rather some moron who should have stayed
home hit the Starlet than the Leaf. ;)

We should get the Vehicle-to-Home technology Nissan demoed in Japan. Would be very useful - we do lose power once a year or so. This time we lost it for 1 1/2 days - no heat, no cooking & effectively confined to home because of icy roads.

I did plug in at Sears fire a few hours when our power was out. Did some shopping there and Target. Ate lunch at Applebees etc. that was enough to keep me going to friends house where I did 120 volt all night. Show yes but better than walking. My Prius could not get out of the driveway

Wait, there was a weather problem here last week?? No issues at all in North Seattle, just a block north of a major substation. Well, no problems until this morning when the power went out for an hour or two..

Admittedly, the LEAF didn't venture out last week, but that's because the studded-tire-equipped Civic is so much fun in the snow and ice. Living in the city does have the occasional advantage..
