Buy a 2012 for $8k. Drive it until it dies. By the time that happens, it will have more than paid for itself in fuel savings. It is the perfect throwaway car, if the battery dies and nobody wants to buy the shell. In four months I've saved buying 320 gallons of ethanol-free gas by not driving my Suburban.

Appreciate the suggestion, but I think I'll just drive the FFH until it's completely dead, or the Model 3 comes out..
