This is likely a dumb question, but with my Tesla M3, I got an adapter that fit's the 2018 Leaf's charger. Can I use this with my Tesla charger? (220v, 60a rating). The car isn't driven much, but the charging is so slow, with L1.

Not a dumb question but I'd ask in a Tesla forum. Describe the exact adapter you have and ask there if it will work. BTW, the Leaf takes a standard J1772 plug. This is a standardized size and is meant to work with any car that uses the J1772 standard. There are electrical protocols that apply to the J1772 standard and you would hope :!: than any plug that fits a J1772 socket would use the J1772 standard protocol but better safe than sorry.

Thank you - I'll try that. I would call the Nissan dealer - but they seem to have shockingly little knowledge of their Leaf. At least with the sales staff. Hopefully the techs know more?
And I guess it is the J1772 adapter. It just fits over the Tesla charger. I assume the Leaf will regulate whatever the voltage is. Or, I could get an adapter to fit the 240 outlet the Tesla plugs into, and use the 240 plug that comes with the Leaf charger.
I just don't want to blow it up!

This sounds like the easiest, cheapest and safest approach to me. I don't know what type of plug the Tesla cable uses but I'd guess you can find an adapter that would convert that receptacle to the NEMA 14-50 style that the Nissan EVSE requires.

I don't know how code-compliant this situation would be since you would possibly be attaching a 50A rated device to a 60A circuit but practically speaking I wouldn't worry since the Nissan EVSE will pull 30A max. Hopefully Wayne will chime in.

Is the circuit breaker for the Tesla cable 60A or 50A? What is the wire size/type and what type of receptacle is installed?

Bingo on the bolded part.

I'm unclear what the OP is trying to do...

Do they have a Tesla mobile connector and then need the right adapter for it?
https://shop.tesla.com/product/gen-2-nema-adapters

Or do they have a Tesla WC (e.g. https://www.tesla.com/support/home-charging-installation/wall-connector) that's connected via a plug to the wall or hardwired? If so, which plug?

All Teslas Model S and beyond for US include https://shop.tesla.com/product/sae-j1772-charging-adapter so that they can use industry standard J1772 EVSEs.

What 240 volt plug do they have on the wall now, if any? (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NEMA_connector#/media/File:NEMA_simplified_pins.svg.) What's plugged into it?

Not sure what this means. Leaf can AC charge from 100 to 240 volts over J1772.

If one has only a 120 volt L1 EVSE, then feeding 240 volts into will damage it. Some '18+ Leafs did ship with an L1/L2 120 & 240 volt capable EVSE that could be plugged into NEMA 5-15 and 14-50. Look at the label on the back of the brick to determine if it can be fed 240 volts if that's what the OP is trying to do.

No US Leafs before model year '18 shipped with a 240 volt capable brick.

Visual aids (e.g. pics) might help us.

No, that adapter will only let you charge a Tesla using the J1772. You need the reverse of that adapter if you want to charge your Leaf using a Tesla charger.

LOL, something like this maybe?

I already linked to just such a product...

https://qccharge.com/products/jdapter-stub is another one that lets you charge J1772 inlet cars using Tesla wall and mobile connectors (their EVSEs).
