Tesla Destination EVSE and J1772 adapter

I wonder if these 2 Tesla Wall Connectors are Gen3 models with their Access Control set to only allow Tesla vehicles access to charge.

A similar feature was included with the past Gen2 Tesla Wall Connectors via an internal DIP switch.

This type of restriction may have been purposely done by the Wall Connector owner, or inadvertently left enabled by default.

Also, if the site has 277 volts (rare), it probably won't work on Leaf.

Basically, I tell people to never depend on public Tesla WCs with an adapter unless you've already used them at a given location successfully. And, of course, they could be broken so Plugshare can help. Also, the hardware you used before could get swapped out. Always have backups.

My quest now is to find a single Tesla Wall connector or Destination Charger in my area that *is* set up to work with non-Teslas... just so I can see which (if any) of the 3 (!) adapters I now have work.

My Lectron Tesla to j1772 adapter story gets worse, much worse. This has to be a defective adapter. Tried it at four different Tesla destination chargers. The worst of it, looked like it was charging and walked off to grab food. I used the Nissan connect EV app to check on the car, it showed plugged in, but not charging, used the remote start charging button. And that is the last moment the telematics in my U.S. 2019 Leaf SL plus worked. I've spent 3 hours on the phone with Nissan and the car has to go to the dealer. I'm just hoping like hell this is something simple and not not a blown telematics unit because of a bad Lectron adapter.
