Looking at two LEAFs with the last VIN digits of 19947 and 19987. Does anyone know roughly when in 2012 these were built? I can only go off the VIN since I don't want to go to the dealer without knowing roughly when the cars on the lot were built. From talking with the dealer a few months ago, they stated that most of their cars had been on the lot since April 2012. Obviously, I wouldn't want to get a car that already had a year of calendar degradation on top of whatever charging @ 100% the dealer had done.

Thanks!

Thanks! Looks like I will stay clear of those unless my Prius ups an dies. The lease rates are just so good right now that it is hard to resist...

The sticker on the driver's door frame should have
the month and year of manufacture, I believe.

If it sat at some mid-charge level, like they are shipped
from Japan, that would likely be much better than
being stored at 100% charge.

Also, since the battery cells apparently "age" somewhat,
you might want to check their GID-value, and possibly
negotiate an appropriately reduced purchase price.
