AC has very little effect on range, heat can big time but not so much for AC.

This is true in the Northern states, but not in Florida, except maybe in rare sub 25F temps. A heatpump-equipped Leaf will lose about 5 miles of range using the heat, as opposed to about 2-3 miles using the A/C cycle.
