Joe Saward blogs about Formula 1 racing. He gets into the politics as much as the racing, and there is much to get into. If you're interested, you can check out his work here:

So today (7/5) while looking at my news feeds I read this paragraph in one of his posts:

"In the autumn of 2014 InvestIndustria announced that Andy Palmer would become the CEO of Aston Martin and that Simon Sproule, the vice president of communications at Tesla Motors, would become the company’s chief marketing officer. Palmer and Sproule had previously worked together at Nissan, where they cooked up the idea of promoting the Infiniti brand by sponsoring Red Bull Racing. "

Is that "our" Andy who is to become the CEO of Aston Martin? I didn't pick that up in the threads here in the LEAF forum. The context of the paragraph is that Aston Martin might be fielding an F1 entry in the next few years

I could see them sponsoring a team but I doubt they run their own. It simply costs too much. I would love to see them do it but I won't hold my breath.

After reading F1 blogs this morning, Aston Martin said they did not have sufficient money to have a F1 team.

This at least would seem to confirm that Andy IS with Aston Martin:
"Nissan's prior product chief, Andy Palmer (now CEO of Aston-Martin), told Green Car Reports last year that the next-generation Leaf would offer a choice of two or three battery packs with capacities as high as 150 miles."
