Seems to me the P button (not Parking brake) and the POWER button are relatively exposed, prone to be hit or pushed accidentally. What would happen if this were to occur while driving in D or B mode? Something that would damage the car? Just wondering. TIA

It simply will not engage the parking pawl unless the car is going slowly- I think around 5 MPH...... it is a bit of a shock when it happens but does no harm (this I know from experience...)

This topic came up a while back, someone pointed to a manual entry that stated you can't engage Park above 3 mph. The power button has to be held in for a few seconds to disable the Leaf while driving also I believe from the manual in case of emergency.
