Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

Turbo3 - do you know when LeafSpy will received the update to read European tyre pressures (as already incorporated into LeafSpy Pro)? Thanks

Update on Nissan LEAF Battery Replacement

Any plans to offer this outside the US e.g. in the UK?

    Tuning the Battery Aging Model

They're about 14C now Vs mid/high 25-30C in the summer

    Tuning the Battery Aging Model

Thanks Stoaty. Sorry for not being clear but I was actually asking about the impact of the P3227 Leaf software upgrade on reported capacity numbers. Could that be the reason some people have seen a large drop in reported capacity since the summer, or is it likely to be the cooler autumn...

    Tuning the Battery Aging Model

Hi, great effort on this. Just a couple of quick queries (apologies if they have been answered elsewhere): - Is there a significant drop in capacity for lower temperatures - the UK Leaftalk forums has reports of people seeing large drops since the summer with a 10C drop in ambient tempatures...

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Great work! Unfortunately UK Leafs do not have tyre pressure sensors so cannot use this part of the functionality of the app.

My suggestion for a battery plan ----"Buy a Bar"

Or they could do a software "upgrade" to magically restore a bar or two.

    Battery Replacement Program Details

If Smart can option a $5,000 "buy-out" option on their battery lease, why can't Nissan? At least consumers will then have the choice on which route to go based on their own circumstances.

    Battery Replacement Program Details

Definitely not an extended warranty. If you choose to replace your old battery with a new one, you are committed to pay $100 (or whatever) a month for the LIFETIME of the car (which has not been defined by Nissan). If you stop paying, they can takeaway the battery (and sue you for breach of...

    Battery Replacement Program Details

Lifetime commitment to pay the battery rental makes no sense. Basically if you stop paying they will leave you a car with no battery! Also, what happens if your pack is damaged in an accident. Is you insurer obliged to continue paying the battery rental forever or will you still be on the hook?

Modify ELM327 mini from CAR CAN bus to EV CAN bus

Ok thanks - that makes sense.

Modify ELM327 mini from CAR CAN bus to EV CAN bus

Thanks for offering this FairwoodRed. Just out of interest, why are you modifying the "mini" version rather than the "stubby" version of the ELM327? I would have thought the stubby version is easier to open and modify?

Update on Battery Warranty Enhancement for 2011 & 2012 LEAF

TMS is not really required in temperate places like the UK - so if Nissan do decide to include it in the future, I hope they would offer it as an option.

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

I just wanted to check if the possibility to read "true" Gids from the EV-CAN is going to be implemented soon?

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Great effort on this. I'd really like the code added that "true" Gids can be displayed when the (modified) ELM327 is connected to the EV-CAN. Cheers

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Don't understand the second sentence. -------------------------------------------- Sorry, I meant to say that it's probably worth updating your first post to link to the current version of the app.

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Great - thanks. Does this version now read "true" Gids from the EV-CAN if selected? Also, it's probably updating your 1st post to link to this version.

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Just to confirm that I've got this working fine with my Samsung Galaxy S2 running Android 4.1.2 and the "stubby" ELM32 adaptor.

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

I agree - the problem we have in the UK is that the dash for 2011 models only displays kwh per mile to 1 decimal place e.g. dash display of 0.2 kwh per mile could mean anything from 0.21 to 0.29 kwh per mile - a massive range ! I was therefore wondering if it would be possible to extract this...

Using clone ELM327 Bluetooth OBDII adapter with Leaf

Great work on this Turbo3 I've given it a go with my ELM327 clone and all seems to be working well. A couple of quick queries: 1. If I was to modify the wiring in the ELM327 adaptor as per Garygid's instructions to read the EV-CAN instead of CAR-CAN, would all the information still be...
