So, owners what range are you getting ?

2012 Leaf, Palm Springs, 4780 miles. Yesterday I charged to 100% I have lost a bar already but it showed 12 charged bars of 11. Drove in Eco from Palm Springs to La Quinta freeway for 10 miles 62mph then surface roads, back to Palm Springs, total 49 miles with 6 left on the GOM. No a/c. Display...

Lost a bar after 12 months and 3800 miles

It's in the garage, but it gets hot in there, parked in parking lots in the sun yes, most up to six hours, not enough shaded parking here in PS yet. Usual charging to 80% only to 100% maybe twice a month. I guess after 2 Leafs, I have to face the reality that its just too bloody hot for them in...

Lost a bar after 12 months and 3800 miles

This is my second leaf. I purchased my first in September 2011 and noticed a loss in battery range within 9 months so I went to the dealer and traded in for a lease 2012 leaf in June.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

After swapping my purchased 2011 leaf because of 9of 12 bars on 80% for a leased 2012 leaf in June, I have 935 miles on it and today was the first time I got 9of 12 bars on 80% charge. It has been an xtremely hot summer as it always is here in Palm Springs but this is ridiculous. I have been...

How should Nissan respond to dropping capacity?

So after trading in my purchased leaf for a leased leaf, I live in Palm Springs, well over 100f every day, I have 500 miles on my new leaf, on 80% charge I am just getting 50 miles, flat roads here and using a/c. My 2011 leaf that I purchased was only charging to 9of 12 on 80% and range seemed...

Said goodbye to the Leaf yesterday

Well maybe they forsee a better battery the size of the LEAF? which could mean a better range Leaf in 2015, but i'm not trying to start a what if here! Just the dealer and a few others at the dealership said they had info/seen a memo/spoke to a higher up, who knows, maybe even said it to make...

Said goodbye to the Leaf yesterday

To add to this, my Nissan dealer was telling me about a 250 mile range Infinity due in 2015?

Said goodbye to the Leaf yesterday

This is exactly the reason I decided to swap out my 2011 purchased Leaf with 4600 miles and noticeable range loss, charging started to give me 9 of 12 on 80% charge so I did it before I lost a bar, came out with a 2012 lease with the same payments, just did not want to give up the leaf...

How should Nissan respond to dropping capacity?

It was an 80% charge according to the car 10 of 12 bars, low battery came on at 55 miles, I continued to 60 with the GOM at 4 miles, so I went past the low batt warning a bit. Sorry it's not more accurate but the aero charger I have has no read out, so I guess there is some plus or minus a bit...

How should Nissan respond to dropping capacity?

Thank you for the info, I was worried the heat here was sucking it up a bit but you have made me feel better about it. So now I have a bottom line and will be able to gauge it in the future months, doesn't cool down here until October so I have a few months to see what happens! Thanks again! To...

How should Nissan respond to dropping capacity?

Update, my new leaf has now 120 miles on it today and I did a little test. Palm Springs 106 degrees today, charged to 80%, temp bars at 6. Went out for a drive, some freeway 60mph and some normal streets, a/c moderate not above the 1.5 mark. Battery temp reached 7 bars fairly quick Drove it...

How should Nissan respond to dropping capacity?

Ok so the rebate works like this, they will require me to refund a pro rated portion of the original rebate from my 2011 leaf then they will issue a new rebate for the full amount on my new 2012 leased LEAF. Sounds fair to me!
