Dysfunctional “Charge Timer only at home” setting

Thanks Gerry! LOL, my hypermiling days are over, and because of the Pandemic, there’s only about 2500 miles on the 2020 Bolt after one year and am waiting on GM to finish the buyback process. I’m surprised though that NISSAN hasn’t fixed that Home charging problem by now. But it’s a minor...

Dysfunctional “Charge Timer only at home” setting

I have a 2022 LEAF now and this thread saved me from much frustration. I followed all the instructions in the manual because I could never get one of these car timers to work including my 2018 and 2020 Bolts. After I put in the time for start and stop, the days, Home button after putting my...

Committed LEAF 2018 Buyer: Raise Your Hand

I would have gone with the S if I could have PPA, but you can’t get that as an option on the S.

Committed LEAF 2018 Buyer: Raise Your Hand

The LEAFs were put on hold in January because I was told by my sales person that Nissan wanted to ship them to dealers all at the same time, hence all the February deliveries. Of course, there could have been a problem though that they needed time to fix. My 2018 SV that I plan to lease is...

What was your previous car before Leaf?

Before my 2011 LEAF, I owned and drove a 2000 Honda GX/CNG which I bought in 2004 because my bi-fueled (CNG/gasoline) 1990 Toyota Celica GT-S's engine caught fire from a leaky gasoline injector. At the time, it was running on CNG. It would have been taken to be converted to 100%...

    Temperature bars & real temps

My 2013 goes from TB 6 to 7 when the bat temp reaches around 98F and today it went from 7 to 8 TBs around 109 bat temp. Ambient was 110F.

2014 Leaf battery monthly capacity values

LOL, you think your 2014 is a jewel because you can go 90-100 miles on a charge? When I had my new 2011 I drove 100 miles easily on an 80% charge and over 120 miles on a 100% charge in city driving. It was very easy to average 5.8m/kW h or better.

World's Largest Electric Vehicle Gathering, Aug 9, 2014

For those LEAFs that need QCing, remember, 2013-14s QC to 90% in 30 minutes or less, unlike the 11-12s which is only 80% in the same time.

How to get the best range from highway driving.

Drive 55mph actual and if on relatively flat ground, you can drive 100 miles. I've done it twice with about 86%-87% capacity.

lost first battery capacity bar at 4000 miles

My 2013 was made in Jan., was already down 4-5% capacity when leased, and lost its first CB at 10 mos./8000 miles/ 54.9 AH. However, it was 15% loss, but now is at 86% capacity.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Wow! I lost my first CB at 54.9 AH too! But only at 8000/8 mos. (Dec.). Then a few months later, my AH went to 56.9! Now it's dropped to 56.1. However, compared to my 2011, my BC is at 86% vs. less than 80% so I still can go 100 miles city and 100 miles freeway at 55 mph actual (58 on speedo.

Can't remove charge plug from Leaf

There is a locking mechanism. Check inside the car and turn the locking switch off. Otherwise, it won't disconnect unless done charging and lights are out.

I Beat EPA's 73 Mile Range : Report your experience

FYI, I drove 100 miles Sunday on a relatively flat freeway, windows down half way, no a/c, 98 temp, no to little wind, and cruise set at 55mph actual (58 on speedo) with only 86% capacity! This 'tweaked' pack is doing better than the previous one. When I lost the first CB at 8500 miles/8 mos...
