Are you planning to reserve Tesla Model 3 ?

As I did several years ago when the LEAF first started the reservation process, I will be at the store on March 31 to vote with my pocketbook. The initial LEAFs were not perfect, but much has been learned along the way. I view this as doing my part to move the technology forward. Ideally...

Poll : Your Reaction to 2013 Nissan Leaf Price

1.3 cents per kWh plus delivery fees etc. Their rates are defined here: http://www.georgiapower.com/pricing/files/rates-and-schedules/2.30_tou-pev-3.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They do not meter separately, but it has been OK for our family. We push other usage (dish...

Poll : Your Reaction to 2013 Nissan Leaf Price

In Georgia, we have a $5000 state tax credit, which gets the entry level down to $16,300. Combined with the GA Power EV rate plan, it is VERY attractive.

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

I heard a certain politician try to score political points by making a joke about windmills not being able to power cars. I don't think he comes from the most forward thinking party.

Congrats! My two young boys are my inspiration for "doing the right thing". Thinking that our kids will grow up with so many more options gives me hope. Enjoy the journey!

    Anyone in Georgia?

I have noticed charging stations start to show up in metro Atlanta Walgreens. Used one Friday night while waiting to fill a prescription. Saw another today in Buckhead that was not yet on PlugShare. Looks like our family found a new pharmacy.

Any Leafs delivered to Georgia yet?

Anyone know if/when we will see some charging stations at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport? L1 would be fine given the long parking time. Any usable outlets in the decks?

Low Mileage User - Can I save $$ and skip the 240v Charger?

My commute is around 30 miles plus errands and trips out to lunch adding up to 1000 miles per month. We have been using the provided L1 for a few months and never had an issue. We have even forgotten to plug it in a few nights and have been fine the next day. In addition to the reduced...

How to obtain Georgia ZEV certificate to claim 5K Tax Credit

Any idea how this works for a lease? I have contacted my dealer and am waiting for them to call me back with the answer, but figured I would post the question here as well.

Any Leafs delivered to Georgia yet?

Had lunch down at Atlantic Station today and there was a red LEAF charging at the solar station when I plugged in and a silver one when I departed. So good to see!

The official "I got my Leaf" thread

Took delivery of my 2012 Nissan LEAF at Capital Nissan in Atlanta this afternoon. Hard to believe how long I waited for this, but glad it is finally here. Transaction (lease) was smooth and took about 2 hours.

Any Leafs delivered to Georgia yet?

I just found out that my "Week of Nov 14" will likely get delayed (again). Sounds like they did not put the VINs on correctly and they are having to re-do it in Jacksonville. I have waited this long, what's another week.

Atlanta L3 charging stations almost here

I stopped by Atlantic Station on my way home and checked out the new charging station. It is just off 17th St past the TWELVE Hotel in a small make-shift parking lot. It has a south facing canopy of 18 solar panels (190 Watts each) and three ClipperCreek charging stations. I think they are...

Atlanta L3 charging stations almost here

    I count 18 solar panels powering the station(s) so that could drive up the cost. I plan to head down there tonight or this weekend to check it out first hand. http://www.cbsatlanta.com/story/15340067/first-electric-car-charging-station" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Atlanta L3 charging stations almost here

Saw the article on AJC.com that the installation will be done today around noon. Great move by Atlantic Station, and to top it off, they are solar powered. Can't wait to try it out...in November.

Dealer behavior and Transaction Prices in Georgia

Capitol City Nissan in Atlanta got their demo car this past week and my wife and I test drove it Friday night. Kelly and the staff were very helpful and very excited about the new car. Just wish I could have taken it home. ...until November...
