    Need Blink SD card

A recent power outage appears to have corrupted my Blink. It no longer boots, and I get the EV Project splash screen, then "No Linux, Try CE" Blink support says I have to have a contractor come out and fix it, they won't sell just the SD card. Unfortunately, I am out of warranty. I have...

'This Month' changes at GMT, not local time

Not that this is a huge issue, but I observed around 7pm this evening that my charging statistics on the Blink were reset to 0 on everything for this month. It is after midnight GMT, so it appears that while the TIME is local, the MONTH is not.

RFI from Blink - better when screen off

Just found by serendipity: Since I installed my Blink, my garage door opener has not worked as well. I previously could open my garage door from about 75 feet away, but since the Blink install I had to be within about 15 feet of the garage door. Since I enabled turning the screen off after 3...

The Nissan Leaf beats the Chevy Volt in April sales

Prior to April, Nissan had delivered just 471 of the 20,000 2011 Leaf electric vehicles the company expects to deliver this year but with 573 units delivered last month, the Nissan Leaf beats the Volt with its best month since being introduced last December. For comparison, the 2011 Chevy Volt...

iPhone climate control turns on charger too

I typically charge with the Leaf timer to 80%. (Yes, I purchased, rather than leased.) I've found that if I activate my climate control from the iPhone app, it also starts charging above 80%. Is that the desired operation here? I'm happy if it draws house power for the climate control, but...

    Charging at RV parks

Since I am not an RV'er, I knew nothing about the ins and outs of using an RV park for charging purposes. However, there are dozens of RV parks about 35 - 70 miles from me, that potentially would extend the range of my Leaf. I love how the Leaf drives, and my only complaint is that I can't go...

Leaf visits Route 66 "Midpoint Cafe"

If you have driven on Route 66, the halfway point is in Adrian, Texas. While at Midpoint, there were numerous tourists for foreign countries (the Germans seem to love Rt 66) and about 10 bikers. The bikers spotted the Leaf first, and were amazed to see an electric car way out here in the...
