    NC Leaf Owners

Do we have a list of the businesses in the Triangle that have installed EVSEs? The property manager for the office that my company leases on Weston Parkway in Cary wants to discuss getting an EVSE installed. I'm meeting with him and his electrical contractor tomorrow morning. I'd like to give...

That station and the L2 across from it are free to charge. The chargepoint network leaves it up to the owners (in this case McDonalds) to decide whether or not to charge for access. I think these stations have a phone number you can call to activate them but the card is only $5.00 and easier to...

How do you reset the AV EVSE?

Yes, they can remotely reset the monitored units and send some commands to them. They told me that you should be able to power off the unit at the breaker and turn it back on without needing a remote reset but, they have noticed that in cases of blackouts or brownouts, the units sometimes need...

How do you reset the AV EVSE?

The units used in the Progress Energy program are connected to AV and Progress Energy through the cellular network which is how they monitor the usage. They also have the ability to reset it if necessary which those same installers said they had to do at the previous installation. They had to...

How do you reset the AV EVSE?

This is probably already on the forums somewhere but I wasn't able to find it. My AV EVSE's Ready to Charge light isn't coming on after we lost power. I called AV and they told me to cut power to the unit for 6 minutes, turn it back on for 2 minutes, plug it into the car and then push the...

    NC Leaf Orders

There should be a lot more than that at this point. Southern States said they were delivering 12 in December and I'm guessing the other dealerships have similar numbers. By that spot, if you mean not having an L2 EVSE, we went a month just using the L1 EVSE that came with the car before...

They're trying, just waiting on the city to inspect them at this point. They said it should be done next week.

Herbert Ubbens - [email protected] Yeah, I already told him the same thing. He's the person who responded to my request for information on the chargers on the "Contact Us" section of the North Hills mall webpage. You can either contact him directly at the email above or through the...

Here's the latest reply I got from the folks at North Hills Mall.

Yeah, I just asked him to do the same for me and told him we'd be going to North Hills instead of Crabtree for the time being because of them. The chargers at the Cary McDonalds are ChargePoint and there's a few others around town. Anyone know if the Whole Foods in Cary is installing L2...

If they are chargepoint then you need a card which you can get for $5 on the chargepoint site. I emailed North Hills and got the following response a few minutes later:

Did you check last night to see if they were operational yet? I'm going to be there tonight.

Yeah, those have nothing to do with the city of Raleigh so I doubt they're included in the count. That map is out of date as well, the "green" McDonalds in Cary recently installed a L2 charger so they currently have an L1 and a L2.

    Official Ford Focus Electric Thread

I got to sit in a pre production model and talk to the Focus electric marketing manager (Chad Darcy I think he said?) in Cary NC a few weeks ago. It's a little smaller than the Leaf but it felt solid (not an econobox). Should have had a list of questions for him but I didn't realize that...

    NC Leaf Orders

I finally got mine installed last night. Don't expect the contractors to call to confirm though. They'll probably just show up.
