Any Price out on New replacement Batteries after warranty???

There is another way Nissan and other manufacturers should try. Since the tax rebate amount is based on battery capacity in current legislature, they should push the same for replacement car battery. This would help stopping the drop out of current users and giving potential users more...

Any Price out on New replacement Batteries after warranty???

Believe or not, this might be the best they can do at this point. After 2012, i think Nissan has been very clear what is going on. Their price slash has told us that they have given up their day-time dream to play fashion card on Leaf, there would be no hope for them to get back their...

Any Price out on New replacement Batteries after warranty???

Things are quite clear when Nissan decides to delay Infiniti LE. It would be a disaster for them if LE comes to market with the same 24kwh battery as Leaf after Model S. And the delay itself also suggests Nissan has not found a viable way to reduce the mass production cost of battery. It will...

2013 Low Battery Capacity AHr Battery Degradation

yes and no. it's a good argument for the whole battery sys, especially controller part. But it also might be just a software tweak (no cell involvement)-- any battery can be charged to higher voltage if you choose to, 4.13v is still within safe zone of 'full' 4.17v. We have no other proof now...

2013 Low Battery Capacity AHr Battery Degradation

in theory, once the cell is made, its 'life journey' begins. If new (or nearly new) cars show two and only two capacity values (assuming the measurements are reliable), that's quite possible they are made from two different batch of cells. Although we all see some variation of capacity...

2013 Low Battery Capacity AHr Battery Degradation

There might be another possibility, the date that car is assembled is different from the date the battery pack is manufactured. That's a wild guess. Some 2013 cars might be using battery packs actually made for previous year's? since 60-62Ahr is quite close to that...

Max regen - at what point do mechanical brakes engage?

Based on personal driving experiences, the regen/brake sys mixing is clearly software job, or we can say fly-by-tweakable-wire. The dynamics of brake pedal feedback can tell you sth. different than conventional gas cars. And that's why Nissan can come up with the B mode so easily. But there...

Can you determine if your battery is normal by charge times?

It won't help. As I understand, as long as you drive in cold weather, it won't matter much weather you charge at higher temperature or not-at least in the scale of leaf's 24kwh capacity. You probably do not need to bother that.

Leaf owners portal access issue under windows8/IE10

That won't work. It's for another compatibility issue arises before ie10, if I am right, it has been there since ie8? This is not a big issue, affects surface rt users most b/c they currently have no other way to workaround this. For Nissan, either upgrade to new flash, or develop RT apps. I...

Leaf owners portal access issue under windows8/IE10

Well. As I told MS support team, if they keep this way, no wonder people return their Surface RT -While you have Apple out there. I believe MS is hoping standalone RT apps developed by Nissan sometime down the road. But these are even less relevant to Leaf. Just a note in case someone run...

Leaf owners portal access issue under windows8/IE10

Find Leaf owners portal page can not be accessed on my new Surface RT tablet, and start a little research on this. Here is what i have got so far. Hope this report would save some time of others when they run into it. 1. Talk with Microsoft support team. They recreat this on their side and...
