Text notifications

2013 Leaf. This has never worked well for me. Some notifications I never get. On occasion I get the not plugged in, or charging complete. Maybe one notification in past week. I had the upgrade done to the communication thingy...no effect..and that was a year or 2 ago. When I do get notifications they seem to be really late - take forever (hours) to get to me. I have talked to Nissan and they blame Sprint..Sprint says Nissan is cra cra. I would really like this to work - I had not having enough juice to get to work in the morning because I forgot to plug in when the empty trash can called to me when I got home.

ANy input would be appreciated...maybe some one has an answer for me.

The car communicates with Nissan's servers through the AT&T cellular network so you need a good AT&T signal where the car is parked for notifications to work. Try enabling email notifications in addition to text messages. If you get email notifications, then the problem could be with your cellular provider not delivering your messages or the Nissan servers not sending the text messages. Try resetting all of your notification parameters in your EV Connect profile to see if that helps.

okay...I misspoke...I get NO text messages and just a couple of the email ones. I have worked extensively with Nissan folks to no avail. They want to blame sprint...sprint says not them. I was hoping someone here had had the same problem and found an answer.

Sprint has nothing to do with it because the car uses AT&T to communicate with Nissan's servers. When you talk to EV Customer service, tell them you are not getting email messages on your desktop or laptop computer. This will take your cellular provider out of the picture and make them address the real problem which is either some setting in your account or something wrong with their servers.

As I said before, Sprint has nothing to do with this issue. Tell the Nissan EV Customer Support representatives that you are not receiving email notifications. There are several possible problem areas:
1. Car is not parked in an area with good AT&T cellular service.
2. Something is wrong with the cellular modem in the car.
3. Something is wrong with your EV Connect account.
4. Something is wrong with the Nissan servers.

The most likely situation is a combination of items 3 and 4.

I've never received any text or push notifications for my 2015 Leaf SV. I only occasionally get emails, and when I don't it's usually a sign that it's time to pull the fuse again. But I've tried every combination of notification preferences, to try to get text or push from the app, and it's never worked even once.

which fuse do you pull GSK? do you have to re-enter your login info afterwards on the car's screen?
