+1 great deal.
$249 for one with a 15' cable and $279 for a 25' cable, for a well-made UL-listed EVSE.
If I didn't already have 6 L2 EVSEs  I'd be scooping up one for sure. I remember these when I bought my '13 new, I believe they were well over $600!
My one complaint is the plug in model has the less common 6-50 plug, I personally much prefer the more common(for RVs, Ranges, etc.) 14-50 plug/outlet, still I suppose the cable could be swapped, you could cut off the 6-50 plug and install a 14-50 plug(about $15) or just buy the hard-wire model and put on a $10 range cord pigtail. I like how the EVSE has a built-in j1772 holder and cable wrap clip, again this is a steal for such a well made EVSE!

These are what they use at Nissan HQ and most of them are probably over +11 years old now and still working despite the abuse you can see they have been through over the decade, I will certainly point some friends to it for future new installs and purchase, thanks for the links and news!

Thanks for the info, bought one (25'). Have the 15' cable one, got free with install from promo when purchased '13 Leaf, cable has been a little too short.

If they were

Smaller

Portable

Dual Voltage
(hmm, wonder if I could modify/repackage)

My guess is they don’t deal with snow/sleet/ice very well either

Several Nissan dealers around me have these installed outside their buildings exposed to New England winters. Marlboro Nissan's overflow lot is right next to a hiking trail I was at two days ago and they had a LEAF (probably charging it before delivery) hooked up to one of these that was probably 6+ years old.

It would appear Webasto is dropping out of the public charging game. Their reliability has gone from very good with fast repair times to non existent over the past several months. There hasn't been a noticeable repair by them this year. Right now, 40% of the stations listed on PS are down, some for months.

Note; Webasto has ended Pay with Plugshare.

I have been using my AeroVironment unit since June 2011 (round with Nissan logo and white case). Although I have it in my garage, it is clearly suitable for outdoor installation. The contactor and other components are high quality and I would certainly buy one at the sale price if I needed another EVSE. I have the AeroVironment at home, a Clipper Creek unit at my workshop garage, two Nissan units upgraded by EVSE Upgrade, and the dual-voltage Nissan unit that came with my 2019 so I don't need another one.

Unless they have changed the round AeroVironment units since I got mine (which is designed to be hardwired), they will not work on GFCI circuits because they test for proper grounding connection by passing enough milliampere current to ground to trip a normal 2-pole GFCI breaker.
