Yeah, I like your approach too, but with my big fingers and my "dumb" phone's stupid touch screen keyboard, constructing a text message is more of an effort than just clicking on the "Favorite" icon on my home screen of the leafic website. I have the URL set up so it automatically logs me in, and the replacement web site I am building even does the "ping car" operation automatically (which I do 95% of the time), so with just one button click I can get a current status of the car, and all other functions (HVAC on, HVAC off, start charge) are only one more click away.

I kind of like the idea of wrapping to Nissan Owners' portal, and automating the login process.

I know in the US, the Owners' portal is http:/www.nissanusa.com/owners. What are some url's for other countries.

I have an app in the middle of approval right now. If I got the other url's I could expand distribution past North America.

My app "LEAF Buddy" was finally approved in the Windows Phone Marketplace. It was my first publish, and I had to work through the policy issues about using the Location API.

Like I said in a previous post, I went with the approach of wrapping the Nissan site and helping with the log in. This way I keep the nice Nissan graphics.

The app also queries OpenChargeMap.org for nearby charging stations.

REQUEST: I would really like to be able to roll the app out to other countries. But I need the url of the Nissan Owner's home page that is used in that country (in the US, I am using http://www.nissanusa.com/owners" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false.

What url do you use to get to your Nissan Owners page?

I didn't notice that EVNow had submitted a Windows Phone app to give better range estimates for the LEAF.

It came out before I got my LEAF, so I guess I wasn't paying much attention.

No one has even reviewed it yet.

I hope LEAF Buddy does better than that.

Would it be possible for you to create WP7 app for some European country as well?
The Nissan official app will not be available in nearest future...
For example for Finland url - http://www.nissan.fi/carwings
Or Estonia http://www.nissan.ee/carwings

Would be great if someone would make it work.

Have you tried LEAF Commander? It has support for Europe.
