I picked up a OBD II scanner off Amazon and it must be the wrong one. What OBD scanner does everyone else use that will work with an Iphone.
Thank you for the help.

Excellent point RonDawg. This is one of the key reasons I chose the iCar3. I didn't want extra cables to deal with or to have to remove the device frequently. The iCar3 is incredibly short and doesn't get in the way of shins either while driving or getting in or out. I'm 6'2" and have no difficulty with the adapter at all. But that's just my wants, YMMV.RonDawg said:If you're going to leave an OBDII adapter in place all the time, I recommend using an extension cable. Otherwise there is a good chance you might smack the adapter with your leg as you get in or out of the car, damaging the port.
While this should certainly work, please note it does not have an automatic shutdown and will consume a bit less than 2 watts all the time, according to the manufacturer. May not be a big deal, but a consideration. Also, Amazon user reviews mention that it gets hot.sparelink said:I just bought this one and it has paired fine with both my iphone and ipad. Cheapest one I found with prime. It is also small enough that it barely sticks out, nothing to hit my knee on.
