Using stove outlet for AV EVSE?

I have a brand new Aerovironment EVSE that I want to sell. It is the model that's intended to be hard-wired. Some potential buyers have asked about doing their own installation. I understand that a plug (50 amp) can be added to my unit. Here is what someone asked:

Is this charging station required to be professionally installed?
If I would attach a cord with a NEMA 14-50 plug and plug it into
the stove outlet, would that work?

Does this sound workable?

Another question: I sent an email to AV asking if there would be any effect on the warranty if a plug was added. No reply yet.

Yes a 50a appliance cord properly attached will work just fine. My Schneider certainly does.
