The Roadster was Tesla’s first car. And with only 2,450 made and an estimated 1,500 left, it’s an endangered species. But a die-hard group of early adopters and fans are passionate about keeping the EV-maker’s original electric car alive.

There's a guy on TiVocommunity w/a Roadster (also has a Leaf) who apparently had been going thru a saga of getting the pack replaced on his Roadster. Tesla's had his $5K deposit since 2018 and seems like they're only recently getting around to replacing his pack, which will take 8 weeks. I've actually met him at Bay Area EVents at least once.
