We made it through the preparing of dressing and the stuffing of the turkey,
and the adding of some orange and zest to the cranberry, cooking the turkey
in a bag, making gravy, and the microwaving of some sweet and regular potatoes.
Then, we watched the new Mission Impossible BD from Red Box while
the smells of the cooking turkey slowly invaded the theater room.
Then, the carving, serving, and the big smiles of the servants that were
lucky enough to still be with us in the big house on Christmas Eve.
The jingle of the sleigh bells as the big front door opened and
closed as the house animals were taken out for a little relief ...
all a wonderful Christmas Eve, even if these words alone do not
perfectly describe the event, as this year mixes with the memories
of many previous years, and perhaps even with some dreams.
Love to you all.
