Seat heater on when you shut off the car

I apologize if this is covered somewhere; I looked but didn't see anything.

I read somewhere (manual?) that it's important to turn the seat and steering wheel heaters off before you turn off the car. Is it really important? Does it drain the 12v? I inadvertently leave them on about half the time and haven't had problems. Of course I've only had the car 2 weeks.

No, the seat heaters and steering wheel heater shut off automatically, along with the other accessories, when you turn the car off. Is this more bad dealer info? :roll:
