The weather is getting hotter, and battery degradation is accelerating nicely with it - down to 44.77AHr today from 45.07AHr 9 days ago. However, all of a sudden I've found out that I no longer need to commute, so there will be very little mileage accumulated in the immediate future and far fewer full charge cycles unless I actually take the car out and drive to "nowhere" (and back) each day. On the plus side, I suppose, I no longer need to worry at all about running out of warranty miles before I run out of warranty months.
So I guess what I'm wondering out loud is how much weight should be assigned to miles driven and the resultant charge/discharge cycles as they relate to degradation. My gut feeling is that it's not going to be significant, but I can't afford to take any chances being as I only have 6.5 months of warranty available and under 4 months of hot weather ahead.
Of course, I could always see how the next week to 10 days go to get a rough idea - if the weather stays more or less the same and degradation continues to track at the same levels even without the car being driven, I guess I'd have my answer, but I wouldn't yell at any of you should you want to make an educated guess.
