Was at the salvage yard this weekend, pulling rear camera parts.
Unfortunately (or fortunate?) the trunks on both the 2011 and 2013 were locked...
2011 has an access panel in the plastic trim that makes it easy to get at the manual release.
But the 13 just has this slit in the plastic trim that makes it near impossible unless you have ex-ray vision!
The rear hatch switch is identical in both the 2011 and 2013 btw.
So I will provide some ex-ray vision(photos) for you in case this ever comes up =)
I think if I had the smaller flat blade screwdriver it would have fit in the triangle pocket at the end of the "nub".
When I get into my 2013 to install camera parts I just got I will test that theory.
Note I am nimble enough to actually reach the inside slot in the back hatch by folding the rear seats down, I could see this being an issue later on.
Also I don't know how many model years beyond 2013 that are the same as this. Edit: seams switch is same part up to 2017.
