No auto shut off! Car on all night

I found a gen 2 Prius "idling" in my local airports long term parking. I'm sure it had been doing that for days. This will be a real problem as more "auto stop" cars show up. With Evs the risk is deep discharge of the traction battery. With gassers co and heat are real issues.

A perhaps larger issue that this post brings to mind is will the future have multiple EVs (multiple EV designs for the same model even?) that all work somewhat differently, i.e. lack of standardization in some basic operational aspects that leads to confusion when a person inevitably must deal with multiple EVs?
