Anyone have a good solution (recommendation) for a smart phone holder that doesn't require any type of adhesive?

I figured out that a yoke clamp (designed for an airplane yoke) attaches quite nicely to the air vent and back of the center console (the part that sticks up above the dash). It's easily removable and quite sturdy (see photo). Over time one of the vent fins can bend slightly but it's minor and seems to recover eventually.

More impressive in the picture is your range estimate and energy economy. How do you achieve that?
